The ability to conduct quick estimates enables you to rapidly accelerate many analytical tasks. It also makes you feel like some sort of Jedi / ninja / genius. Even if you have zero experience in a given field, you can generate a rough estimate by moving through the process below. Basically you just start with what you know, then make some key assumptions, then do a calculation. Voilá! Estimate complete.
