When I was launching this site, How to be Awesome at Your Job, I quickly learned that three podcast episodes a week is a ton of work! I needed help but didn’t have much budget. With zero starting revenue, every dollar of cost hurts!

I can’t blame that agency. I’ve learned it takes me dozens of hours and over $1,000 to recruit, evaluate, assess, and train a candidate who meets my standards. I have to invite over 100 candidates and whittle them down, test by test, to find a single champion.

But with stubborn determination, I found these champions! Award-winning writers whose sentences make me smile. True professionals who read, think, learn, type, and write better than the average U.S. college graduate. To date, I have placed six overseas workers who perform better than those original Northwestern interns.

Helped largely by their talents, I’ve managed to grow this podcast to become bigger than 97% of all podcasts, with over 7,000,000 downloads and recognition in Forbes, The New York Times, and Apple Podcasts. We’re profitable now! And I’ve been able to help out my closest friends by sharing my “secret weapons” with them.
